We the denizens of the world
Are as cool as cool might be,
Watching world’s destruction
As calmly as a listless tree.
When Greed took over purpose
And gained magnanimity,
We remained unperturbed
And tolerated all audacity.
Unperturbed by rubbish mountains
We continued to reside mindlessly.
We watched the world getting hotter
And the glaciers soften quickly.
We noticed our future being ruined
We watched it day and night time on TV,
Chitchatting about extinctions
Sipping chilled, iced, inexperienced tea.
